Because I promised Jill a barrage of pictures today, here are some from our visit in Denver (almost two weeks ago now!)

After brunch in Cherry Creek we popped over to the Cherry Creek Farmers Market.

And folks… Chicago’s Green City Market has me spoiled.

I think the Cherry Creek Farmers market would be a fun place to grab breakfast on a Sunday morning, but they were kind of light on the farm fresh produce.

Jill didn’t scrimp on mugging for the camera though.

I was surprised and delighted at the ubiquity of food trucks at the farmers market and throughout the city.  Restaurants and bars were more prolific than when I left too, Denver’s really turning into a pretty cool food town.

Doesn’t Josh look handsome in Denver?  Must be the altitude, maybe we should think about relocating?

Before we headed out to visit my folks we headed out on the town with my ladies Jill, Suz and Sarah (and their dudes).

A quick bite at my favorite hot dog stand- in Denver that is.

Look at this dashing dude.  This dog cracks me up.

After our quick weekend in Denver we took to dogs to the suburbs for a few days.  Spending time with my mom and dad was like a balm for my soul.  I hadn’t realized how much I needed their comfort, or how much it would help me.

One last minute addition to our schedule was a Rockies Game with my folks.

We were planning on heading up to the ranch in Wyoming, but heavy rains kept us city bound.

All the better for enjoying Rockie Dogs, $9 beers and my folks’ great company.

Isn’t that a good looking family photo?  I wish we had more opportunities for pictures like this.
