Finished Objects and Works in Progress that is.
One thing about being dog sick and pregnant during the winter is that you have a fair amount of knitting time. I’m been making progress.
I have long term knitting projects and short term knitting projects. I’m doing some but not much knitting for this baby. Mostly I knit for me. I don’t outgrow hand knits as fast as Hen does and baby #2 will.
FO’s so far for 2013
The Big Herringbone Cowl was for a knit-a-long I led in one of my online knitting groups, the octopus is a gift for the baby, the wool covers and longies are modified variations on the EviePants pattern, and the bag is a modified Dreaming of Sunshine.
My WIP’s right now are pretty varied, a scarf, a couple sweaters in fingering weight yarn that will take me years to finish, more longies. I just cast on a Whiskey Felted Cap becasue I needed an instant gratification project to counter those sweaters and it’s a pretty fun and quick knit. I might give it away, I have a girlfriend who I think would look great in it, of course, we’ll have to see how my felting and shaping goes first.

It all looks great, but that octopus – adorable! My sister is big on knitting. I don’t have the attention span to do it. Most times I would rather have a nap. I am continually impressed at your knitting talent.
