I love surprises, but surprise isn’t a big enough word for this one.

On Sautrday Josh and I drove up North to meet a few friends at a Children’s museum. Figured we’d let Hen wear himself out and I’d get to see some girlfriends with whom I rarely get to visit.

Once we arrived, they told me they had a “little something” for me.

When I opened the card I was completely shocked to see that whatever was in the box was from a whole group of friends, 24 mamas from around the world (yes! the world!) got together to surprise me with a gift for this new baby. I am not sure I can describe how special and honored that made me feel. When I saw all the names on the card… I was completely overwhelmed.

And then when I opened the box! Blown away! These mama friends from around the world are all women I’ve gotten to know through our shared passion for babywearing and wrap collecting. They know me well and they know my style and somehow they managed to gift me with the most perfect wrap; one I loved and passed on to a friend many moons ago because she loved it too.

It’s a rare and special wrap, one that I didn’t think we’d own again. I am so lucky to have friends who went out of their way to think of me, and I’m so looking forward to wrapping the new baby in this special wrap, and lots and lots of love.
