My style is busted. I’m a mom, and a lame one at that. I just had a baby, I’m looking a little frumpy, and I put all my fun money into my wrap stash.
That changes now. Inspired by my husband Josh (he uses a personal shopper service through Frank and Oak) I signed up for Stitch Fix. You tell them your size, your style, and your budget and they put together a box of things they think you might like.
I have a hell of a time getting a chance to go shopping, and when I do I’m stuck in a rut anyway (v neck t shirts from the gap, jeans and toms B-O-R-I-N-G)
I read lots of reviews and talked to some friends and I thought, why not give it a shot.
My first box came on Friday. I’m not sure my “personal shopper” gets me just yet, but I think it’s a good start.
I really liked the green top, but I felt it was overpriced.
The polka dots sweater looks a bit too pin-up girl on me, and that’s not really my style.
The striped raglan tee is cute but looks like half the stuff in my closet.
The wrap dress… just no. HELL NO, tits on parade with that one.
But the stripped dress is fabulous! It’s not my perfect dress, but it’s super cute and fits like a glove.
I was super excited the first time I put it on, I thought “hurrah! My stylist listened and sent me a v neck WITH A ZIPPER becasue I mentioned I’m a nursing mom!”
Yeah, no. I had the dress on backwards. But It works!
I’m excited to try it again, my next box is sheduled to come in a month’s time. If you want to try it yourself, click through my referral link please https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/3190835
