I'm also from April 2011 but was not a big poster. My dr. talked about this drug and how awesome it is. I heard that it used to be available but the FDA pulled it. I had horrible supply issues especially during the 5th month. It happened so fast that my LO lost 2 oz between the 4 and 6 month appointments. Even though I continued until he was 8 months, it was frustrating because he was hardly getting any milk. My OB never freaking heard of it. My LC (friend) sure did but she can't write me prescriptions. The only thing I got going for me is the fact that I stay at home so I don't have to pump and keep nursing on demand. Otherwise...I'd be up __ creek. I keep taking fenugreek, blessed thistle and eating lactation cookies like its going out of style...whatever gets me to the 1 year mark. Then from there, I'm still going to nurse of course but be able to relax about supply...I'll be able to introduce other things. Toddler nursing is the best as they are super picky eaters and what a great way to ensure that they are still getting nutrition from you at the very least!
